When you book a reservation with us, you'll be paired with one of our expert Axe Coaches. Each coach is professionally trained and certified to ensure you have a safe and exciting experience. They'll guide you through the techniques, explain house rules, and be there to assist with anything you need—including food and drinks. Get ready to throw like a pro and have a great time!
Safety is our top priority, and we’ve designed our facility with that in mind. Each throwing lane is fully enclosed with floor-to-ceiling fencing, and only one axe is allowed per lane to ensure a controlled environment. Before your session begins, your Axe Coach will guide you through a brief safety training to help you throw with confidence. While no sport is entirely risk-free, our team closely monitors every session to keep the experience safe, fun, and worry-free—even from yourself!
We understand that plans can change! To receive a full refund, we ask that cancellations be made at least 48 hours in advance. If you need to cancel within 48 hours, you may receive a refund in the form of a gift card or have the option to reschedule for a later date.
Each lane is designed to comfortably accommodate 2-5 throwers, but we can allow up to 6 if needed.
In addition to axe throwing, we offer a variety of free games! Some games, like darts and shuffleboard, require a few quarters to play. You’ll also find pull tabs, a Trackman Golf Simulator, and a Hunt Challenge Simulator for even more fun.
Closed-toed shoes are required for safety. Beyond that, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing, as you'll lift your arms overhead while throwing.
Reservations are highly recommended to ensure a lane for your group, and you can easily book one here. However, walk-ins are always welcome during our regular hours, based on lane availability. We also offer special events and private parties during open hours and will do our best to accommodate your schedule. Contact us for more details!
Hatchet House of Bemidji is a family-friendly venue, and while there’s no strict age limit, we recommend throwers be at least 10 years old to ensure they have the strength to hit the target and stick the axe. Please note that age restrictions may apply during peak hours and evening sessions.
We’ve got you covered with a full bar and delicious food, including local Keith’s pizza, beer cheese & pretzels, craft beers, liquor selection, non-alcoholic options, and Coke products. For safety reasons, if we determine that a guest is too intoxicated to throw safely, they will not be allowed to participate—no exceptions.
You’re welcome to bring your own food, but please note that we do not provide plates, napkins, or utensils for outside items. We also ask that you clean up entirely after you’re done.
